HARRISBURG – Rep. Leslie Rossi (R-Westmoreland) announced today $3.25 million in state funding for vital improvement projects in the 59th Legislative District. The funding is made available through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), which is aimed at enhancing regional economic, cultural, civic and recreational initiatives.
“I am thrilled to announce this significant investment in our community,” said Rossi. “These projects will not only improve local infrastructure but will also enhance the quality of life for residents in the 59th District. I look forward to seeing these initiatives come to fruition and their positive impact on our community.”
The awarded funds will support the following projects:
• Indiana Regional Medical Center: $1.25 million to purchase and convert a building in Ligonier into a community medical center, expanding health care access for local residents.
• The Arnold and Winnie Palmer Foundation: $1 million for the relocation and reconstruction of Arnold Palmer’s office and worship facilities to the main grounds of Latrobe Country Club. This project will also include the restoration of “Winnie’s Barn,” ensuring it meets current building codes.
• Saint Vincent College: $1 million designated for the renovation of a historic building to serve as a Library Annex, preserving the architectural integrity of the campus while enhancing educational resources.
The RACP is a Commonwealth grant initiative managed by the Office of the Budget, dedicated to supporting design, acquisition and construction efforts for projects that stimulate regional development.
